The Oyong field is being developed by Santos in East Java.  A Floating Production Storage and Off-loading Vessel is moored adjacent to the wellhead.  Foundation QA provided advice and assistance to AML Consultants in the review of the anchoring proposal by Vryhof based on the use of Stevpris NG anchors.

Foundation QA’s activities included :

• Assessment of the geotechnical conditions at the anchor sites
• Development of a geotechnical model
• Kinematic assessment of anchor trajectories
• Assessment of geotechnical risk, including stiff layers preventing anchor embedment
• Evaluation of anchor holding capacity, termination depth and drag distance
• Review of anchor installation
• Advice on fluke angles leading to successful installation
