Rocket - rock socket design |

Foundation QA and Dr. Seidel provide design services using the computer program Rocket, developed by Dr. Seidel as part of his PhD studies. Rocket is a unique approach to rock-socket design which is based on a micro-mechanical simulation of the shear transfer process of rock sockets, rather than the typical empirical or numerical approaches. Rocket has been used for design of foundations for many large multi-storey buildings in Australia in rocks of all types and strengths, and is attracting significant overseas interest from both researchers and designers.
For further references to the Rocket approach, please see Dr. Seidels publication list
For further information on the Rocket program and Case studies, please go to the Rocket pages at the Foundation QC web site.
For further information on CCNS large-scale direct shear testing and SocketPro socket roughness measurement, please go to Testing pages.
